In Feb/06 IBVFD purchased a new cab and Chassis for $75,000.00 from Antigonish. This was the first step for us to replace our current tanker, 1985 model. We contracted, G. Leblanc Fire Truck Repair, to manufacture a new tank for us. Our new tanker will consist of a Poly Tank, this one of the first Poly tanks manufactured in Canada.
Overall length of new truck had to be reduced to accomadate our Fire Hall. We have introduced new idea in tanker design and we would have like to add to the design but we were limited due to budget
New Cab and Chassis the day it arrived from Antigonish
Truck overall lenght reduced and Axle moved forward
Lights installed and axle completed Starting to look like a fire truck
Custom Poly Tank being installed. I was informed by Gil Leblanc that the tank will out last the truck. And alot of people have positive comments on our truck. It has seem to started a new trend in Poly Contruction for Tankers
